My 47 birthday and annual bday skate video 2021
Well here is my annual birthday roller dance skate video. This is 47. I was hoping to go all out last night for this video but after working a 10 hour job and when I started skating it was 57 degrees then quickly it dropped to 50 degrees and my legs and knees said nope lol. Also soccer group left and I was alone with my camera gear so had to go. So I'll post a new video next week with fresh warm legs doing the moves I had originally planned but hopefully this is good enough for my bday video. Thank you all and hopefully I see some of you to skate a celebrate with me at Mosswood park in Oakland this Saturday 1PM-6PM. I'll be teaching classes at 11AM-1PM. After 6PM till 9PM is Skates & Plates to 9PM. I look forward for a blessed amazing year of 2021 and many more years of dancing in many ways. Mooncricket's Roller Dance China tour 4K.
While filming a documentary for Stephon Marbury I had spent many days traveling with him and his CBA team all over China collecting lots of B-roll footage of China. After most of my filming I would also capture myself in some of the locations dancing on my roller skates. We visited over 25 cities in 5 months but I danced on my skates in less than half of them because of bad weather or rough pavement..
My skates are broken but that won't stop me.
Last Sunday on my broken skates, they are still rolling on it's last bolts lol. Many roller rinks no longer sell good skates from Riedell and now we have to pre-order for them to be specially made. So I have a long delay till I get my new skates. The OG Riedell brand are not made for my style of skating and get destroyed easily and the ankle support is not strong enough for my ankles for spins. Thanks for filming me with my camera gear Morgan Weske, finally get to see how I look on camera on how I film others this way.

Many might not like my style but this is how I have been dancing since I was a little kid in the mid 80s and many laughed and thought I was weird and still to this day once in a while i still get haters. Why maybe cause I'm not trying to look like everyone else and I like to be me and I feel the music. My style evolves over the years and it is all about having fun. I'll continue to ignore the haters. My roller dance performance June 2018 last week. I was not warmed up yet and chose a song to freestyle off to less than 5 minutes before they called my name to perform. I wasn't sure exactly if I would perform but I always pull it off the best I can. I got warmed up afterwards lol. Always fun.

The first 30 minutes I was teaching the art of freestyle and the 2nd half after we warmed up we did the new white horse set. There is a 2nd half to this we will continue to add on. I only use counting steps when teaching but I teach how to remember these steps to change your count to every kind of music so you remember to always be on beat and not look like your counting when you go solo. Starting next week San Francisco Tuesday 6PM beginners class 7PM intermediate and advanced class. Thursday Oakland Lake Merrit at the Columns 7PM

This is the whole performance video. The stage was small but I pulled it off. I have been performing since I was little and even won the Red Bull roller skate dance contest in 1999 winning $500 & to the world finals. But this is my first time skating as a gig dancing. I use to skate for Roces doing stunts and that was a fun gig but different from dancing on skates. I have been dancing to this song "Jam on it" since it came out in 1984 at the roller rinks when they would call out wrexing dancers only. If you think I should start pursuing gigs like this performing on my skates leave a comment. I just might get a costume and make it a new business for myself..
